Chemistry Student Takes First at KAS

Rachel Bracker

Eastern Kentucky University student Rachel Bracker captured first place in her category in recent competition at the Kentucky Academy of Science annual conference.

Bracker won for her poster presentation in Analytical/Physical Chemistry.

The event, bringing together some of the leading science students from colleges and universities throughout Kentucky, was held Nov. 3-4 at Murray State University. The theme this year was "Science and Society."


Angel Shelton

Angel Shelton is from Rockcastle County and is double majoring in Geology and Geographic Information Science.  She received a scholarship to attend EKU and started as an English major.  However, she took a Geology course and fell in love with the subject and ended up changing majors.  She chose EKU because it is close to home and she is so happy she made the choice!
