Applications are invited from eligible students to apply for the Battelle-EKU Science Scholars Program 2020. Students from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Athena Barrera

Athena Barrera

Athena Barrera was born in California and lived in many states before attending and graduating from Henry Clay High School in Lexington, KY. She is involved in many activities outside of class, including: Pi Lambda Chi Latina sorority (founding member), Phi Kappa Phi honor society, and the Mcnair Scholars program, just to name a few.

Athena also volunteers at the Madison County Public Library with the Bilingual activities program and in the Lexington homework help program through the Village Branch.
