New Solar Farm Goes Online

EKU Solar Farm

With the help of EKU alumnus, Gary Booth, a new solar farm went online in December.  This solar farm will help provide clean, renewable energy and help the university offset approximately 330 metric tons of carbon dioxide each year.  The new solar arrays have the potential to generate 450,000 kilowatt-hours a year, which is the equivalent of enough energy to power roughly 40 homes for a year.
