STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Taylor Dude

Taylor Dude

December 2018

Taylor Dude was raised in Oswego, Illinois; a town about 45 minutes outside of the city of Chicago. She is a senior in the Forensic Science program with a concentration in Chemistry.

“I came to EKU because it has a fantastic accredited Forensic Science program which got me interested in attending. After I made my visit to campus, I knew I would be happy to spend my 4 years here.”

Outside of class, she works two jobs which keep her very busy! She is a receptionist at a Salon and also works in the College of Science office.

Taylor earned the Regents Scholarship and has maintained it throughout her 4 years at EKU.

Taylor said, “I have learned a lot here at EKU, but one of the most important things would be independence. My professors have prepared me to think on my own and to demonstrate everything I have learned here. Also, being far away from home has allowed me to be independent in my personal life. I feel very prepared for life after college.”

After graduation, Taylor hopes to possibly get a masters in Chemistry or find a job dealing with the toxicology part of Forensics.
